The Question Revisited
What is a path, but a tool to find the soul? What is the truth but a believed lie that’s told? What is wax melted if not poured into a mold? Much like the young generation without the old...
What is a gift but a given talent? What is a soul if it’s not balanced? What is achievement without challenge? What is the future without the NOW then? What if youth was found in fountains? What if we had the power to move mountains? What if we had faith in ourselves without doubting? What if we could get our point across without shouting?
What is a drop without the ocean? What is hope without devotion? What is feeling without emotion? What is a door that is never opened? What is a word that is never spoken? What good is an answer if no one knows it? What is inertia without motion? What is a picture if no one shows it?
What is sight when your soul is blind? What is the brain without the mind? What is a clock without time? What is God without the divine? What good is a voice if kept inside? What is anger that’s long subsided? What is a country that’s divided, but a child just misguided…?
What is a day without the night? What is a wrong if there is no right? What is hatred without spite? What is resistance without a fight? Now maybe there’s some insight in bringing the truth to light, with questions to ponder and open third eye’s sight…
Oh, how the mighty have fallen chasing destiny’s call, proud and idly drawn to enigmas to solve. Now, the spider’s spun web is drawn tighter to crawl, as it sits there waiting to inject and dissolve. The thrill and the kicks to watch natures call, soon fill the air with an envious awe. To keep what you kill brings you purpose and cause, but do take heed if you will all these questions and pause…
What if all the world’s nations were united? What if all of the world’s cash suddenly ignited? If the world’s lost souls were promptly guided, would we they still resort to violence? What is a pop star high in the spot light, but a drug addict with the facade of an idol…?
What if the planets were aligned and every human being died? Who would know the truth, who would feel remorse and cry? Would our deaths be justified? Would our souls receive new lives? And if so, would we decide to live civilized this time?
